“I went off the deep end and I died. Got scrambled up somehow survived.” Track 5 of TRAP. Similarly to PART (track 8), this song was rewritten from an earlier draft that I released in 2018 (the demo is still on the Youtube channel somewhere). I was trying to find tracks that fit perfectly into the storyline I was creating for TRAP. Then I remembered this beat Reuben (REX JAMES) and I worked on back in the day. Rewrote the song to better fit the story. Also got more creative and experimental with the general vibe, to further the impression of being far gone. Still one of REX’s sauciest early piano beats.
